BIOGRAPHY
Hello and Welcome to Serin Sound!

My Name is Alex and I’ve spent over a decade in-house at AIR Studios immersing myself in studio life behind the glass, honing my craft and collaborating with some of the world’s best composers, directors, engineers and musical talents.

I’ve landed on Serin Sound as my business name, inspired by the rare Serin bird that can be found in the beautiful Welsh Harp, North London near to where I live. It’s a small but mighty type of finch, with distinct markings, a loud song, and they’re also really rare (not many in the UK).
I love thinking of the Serin as a metaphor for the type of engineer and producer I'm working hard to become. I'm addicted and so passionate about the power of music and how it influences and shapes the storytelling for the unique projects I work on.
I’m really proud of the journey I've made so far in this creative industry.
I followed in the footsteps of many and with just the right amount of luck, hard work and pestering, I became a tea boy and intern at some of London’s best recording studios.
From there, I managed to establish myself within the AIR Studios family and that’s where I refined my expertise. I joined AIR Management in 2024.
I can often be found smiling and head bobbing along to the many musical adventures I’m involved with. I’ve experienced the most rewarding and harmonious experiences when you create an environment built upon solid communication and collaboration - This will always be my priority beyond the many technical aspects of my job.
With that in mind, Whether it's a Film / TV score, Musical, Classical album or anything from and in between a big band to a rock band. I bring to every project a plethora of experience in recording, music editing and mixing.
Most recently, I've worked on Disney’s Snow White and Mufasa, Paddington In Peru and Paul King’s Wonka. Along with Feature West End musicals Starlight Express, Just For One Day: Live Aid and Back To The Future: The Musical.
